My Grandmother collected marbles since she was a young girl. I remember seeing jars of them displayed throughout her home. I asked her if I could have them to make rings. Some are hand made and others are made of beautiful marble and apparently not found easily. Now, these old playing marbles have a new life and can be worn and enjoyed as conversation pieces! I just love making these rings as they have such an interesting history.
I also was inspired by the buttons on a vintage coat. The retro look grabbed my attention. Thus, the collecting began and new rings were born!
Some of my button rings are vintage textile prints and antique playing cards which I think are fascinating!
